Cousin Annie English from California sent this photograph from her trip this past summer. I translated the inscription. “S.P.” is very common on Polish tombstones. It literally means, “Swietej Pamieci,” “In Holy Memory.”

Here’s the translation:

Franciszek

Born 23 October, 1855
Died 17 June, 1927

Died 2 December, 1930

    What does “Dziekuje bardzo” mean? I will need to get on the website for the family tree another day. I’m sure some or many of my other questions may be answered when I log in.
